Assasalamu alaikum
I wish you all the success in your business. May Allah put good in it for you and for us. Ameen.
Variety, Variety, Variety. Most Islamic websites offer only one type of merchandise, and cater to one group of people. You should carry long, short, colorful, dull, African, mideastern, far East, Near East, big, small, medium, because women are from all walks of life. We share one ideology, but we are all individuals. Also carry a line for our young girls because they are facing a dichotomy of clash cultures. It would be good for them to know that they have choices within Islam. Thank you,
Magda

may Allah s.w.t. reward you in your new endeavor.how did you come up with the name?
I would like to see more variations in sizes. not only that longer abayas. I always have to buy my abayas custom made because i’m tall. i’m nearly 5′10 and most abayas cut me off right above theankles.I agree with the above sister jewlery big bangles. Too many times I see bangles butthey are very small. It’s nice if there are Abayas with a big wrist area kind of open.It makes it easier to make wudu at the masjid. May Allah s.w.t. grant you much sucess ameen.

As Salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah
May Allah grant you success and rewards for striving towards sister’s to dress modest to please Allah. I’m a mother who is nursing and can’t seem to find a abayah or so with concealed zippers (at the breast) or what have you for easy access of having to nurse whilst away from home. I’m not into wearing flashy colors etc. i like dark tones and i only know about 1 or 2 sites that have what i like. I like loose fitting garments, and thigh lenghth, knee lenghth or feet lenghth khimar. its hard to find nice (not grandma) housedresses. i hope i was of benefit to you insha allah.

Asalaamu Alaikum
May you have much success in opening a store to help Muslimah’s find nice clothing Inshaállah. I would love to see more plus size abayas and jilbab, nothing flashy but trendier than I’ve been able to find. Also Niqaab and Khimar in different colors, not just black, brown, or blue. And also as mentioned before younger girls clothing that is trendy. Good luck Inshaállah.

asalam ulakium well what i would like to see is the sleeves to cover to at least half of the hand. also for niqab a more easier fabric that does not slid to much or is to thick and around the eyes not to actually touch the bottom eye lids or eye-lashes.the designes on the clothing should be little and not much. i find a lot of cultural designing like pakistani or wat not, since there are muslims from the us and places with no islamic culture we need something of our own. i dont like big floral prints or lots of color. if anything get 2 main basic colors preferbally a dark bold with a softer shade. the hijab should be size medium where it makes it easier to cover. i see now a lot of hijabs are done in the rectangle shape this makes it much easier for it to fall off. so if u r to do it in rectangular shape make it wide enough especially to cover the back part of the neck. and the underpiece beneath the main hijab should also be big enough to cover long hair. and could also have a nice decortive design at the ends where it shows out the hijab. if u r to use 1 basic color say black support the color with a small design at the bottom of the dress so it does not bring to much destraction and if it does people will look not at the body parts but at the bottom dress design. also the fabric used should not be itching or fray away easy. make it tougher. near the chest make it a little higher like closer to the neck and i know some muslimahs would like to have buttons or zippers there for air. and if they have children the child likes to grab onto their jewlrey so make it high enough where the muslimah can put the necklace under the clothing. sometimes like to pull up my sleves when doing house work like dishes and i find they fall back down to my arms if there is any way to stop that or maybe make it so it has a harder time doing that it would help. also on niqab sometimes the nose area is to big and it falls to the tip of my nose. make it higher at the sides but leave just enough space where it touches not the eyes. and for the burakahs make it easier to breath maybe some small holes at the neck. i have some more ideas, but i hope this will help and im really glad to hear u asking us for ideas since we are wearing the product. inshallah ur plans will run smoothly. i will pray for this company inshallah. may allah grant u blessings and good life inshallah.

Asalaam Walaikum may allah bless you. I would like to see overgarments with various cuffs and pockets. Also collars and hoods on them. We just need more of a variety. Insha allah you’ll be hearing from me.
December 29, 2006 at 12:15 am
Al hamdhulillah, may your blessings continue. It would be nice to find abayas and tunics that fit a petite 5″3′, 105 lbs. frame. Modern prints and denim would be a plus. It would also be nice to showcase trendy styles w/ an islamic, modest twist to spark ideas for other fashion conscious muslimahs. I look forward to your grand opening!

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah…
Masha’Allah this is a beautiful thing to have a chance to say what I would like to see as far as hijab on a purchasing site and shukran for the opportunity. I am assuming this site is specifically for ordering ready made garments and not made to order, so as for that… I would love to see some overgarments with different styles of cuffs, ie. flowing, scrunchie, buttoned, french cuffs, etc… different styles of necks, ie. hoods, tapered, dress collars, etc… and with different stitching designs, like double stitches, not necessarily embroidery just designs made from the stitching, also with different fabrics, not just the usual thin polyester or denim. also, some two piece sets with the long tops (about knee length) with skirts; over garments with matching khimars, niqabs and gloves… dark colors with light stitching [burgundy with pink(pale not bright), brown with orange or tan, dark blue with light blue, black with any light color, dark green with a pale green or yellow] or vice versa, but moreso the first. pretty much just alot of variety with a little hip taste. nothing gaudy or bright or at all form fitting. definitely garments that don’t come in only huge long sizes, i am short and thin and alot of what i see is too big like i’m drowning in it or too long and i’m tripping over it before i get it altered or both. so insha’allah the site will have a little taste of everything, because also alot of the sites have alot of the same things… one site will have all solid or printed plain hijab, and another site will have hijabs with alot of floral designs or embroidery and beads and things, and another site will have items strictly for laid back sisters who don’t wear jilbab, abayas or such but strictly dress modest with loose pants and big tops… just bring us some variety with some young flare, insha’allah. i will definitely be saving the site as a fav and keeping your business in du’a. Barakallahufikum.

I invite you to join the Fashion Jihad in the development of your new clothing line. The goals of the Fashion Jihad are (this is slightly tongue in cheek):
1.Establishing natural fibers in the closets of the believers. (No more synthetics- they make one sweat like pork in plastic!)
2. Enjoining righteous colors and forbidding evil shades, such as baby puke green. (Don’t be afraid to use color, but please, use it well. Neutrals, brights, pastels, earth tones, warm, cool, or hot, bring it on!)
3.Training designers and tailors to make use of traditional and contemporary weapons against sack-like, shapeless garments, for the beautification of the ummah. (A sack only hides groceries. Well-tailored clothes can skim over or flow past curves.)
4.And last, and actually most important, making sure that all who participate in the beautification of the ummah are well paid and treated in their work, in accordance with Islaam. (If it’s made by folk who are chained to the sewing machine, I ain’t buying it.)
That said, many Muslim women are not housewives who only leave the house for shopping and parties- therefore, many require sturdy, casual clothes that one can run, jump and get dirty in. This would include things like tunics and trousers in addition to suits, skirts, blouses, jackets, jeans, khakis, dresses, and gowns. Design for the diverse needs of Muslim women, and you’ll have an amazing clothing line on your hands, one with broad-based appeal.

As Salaam Alaikum,
Mashaallah your ideas for the site are quite clever and thought out. To ensure maximum profitability, marketing to all types of muslimahs was made pertinent. Alhumdilallah, my preference is prep\casual. I would like to see button up shirts and blouses. Shorter ones for skirts and longer knee-length for pants and slacks. Skirts in all types of styles, colors and cuts would also be beneficial. JazakAllah Khair for allowing your future customers a hand in shaping your business. Ma Salaam and much success to you.

Assalam Alaikum,
May Allah bless and reward you for providing clothing for Muslim women; this is an excellent endeavor and service that is much needed.
I’m looking for abayas for shorter women like 5ft 3in. I wear abayas, but because of my height they often drag and I have to be careful when walking so that I don’t trip, and many times they bottom of the abaya gets dirty. So in short, I’m looking for abayas that are made for shorter women.
I’m also looking for long length (very long like to the knee) tops of all kinds: shirts, blouses, sweaters, tunics, etc. This is one of the hardest items to find in the stores. I’m taking a PE class for a requirement of college, and I’ve just been shopping for clothes and it was very hard to find a long length top. If you carry this item it would be much appreciated.
May Allah bless your endeavors and concern with supplying products that we are looking for.

[...] for Muslim women clothing. They are looking for your feedback Muslim sisters, so tell them what you think. Need shorter abayas that don’t drag and longer tops – I know I do; it is very hard shopping [...]

Salaamu Alaikum
When it comes to clothes, we need more color varities, pinks, purples, light blues, yellows. A lot of long sleeved shirts, sweaters, tunics, some skirts, A line, khaki skirts and pants that don’t flare at the bottom. Some of us aren’t into the bell bottom pants or the hip huggers.
More affordable abayahs, some nice niqabs, of course lots and lots of hijabs and khimars in every color of the rainbow.

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah!
What a splendid service to the Muslimah!
May Allah bless your efforts and increase
you in all that is good, ameen! And I can’t
wait to see what’s in store for the more voluptuous Sisters insha Allah
January 6, 2007 at 3:59 am
Asalaamu’alikum.
May Allah put barakah in your efforts!
Can’t wait to see what you bring out to us.
Something along the lines of what Sr. Nakia mentioned “…things like tunics and trousers in addition to suits, skirts, blouses, jackets, jeans, khakis, dresses, and gowns. Design for the diverse needs of Muslim women…”
Just a thought: Many times I’ve been put back by the cough*hihh-prices*cough of some of the other online modest clothing lines.
Get it going and keep it up! All the best.
Waslaam.

As salaamu alaikum sisters,
I am a student, not studying in a Muslim country and I think it would be nice if there was some modest clothes on the market suitable for everyday wear to school, work, etc.
(Also maybe fancier things that can be worn to formal occasions??)Inshallah the younger ummah can represent Islam as it should be and not compromise the hijab requirements of the deen!
May Allah guide you and grant you success inshallah!!
Ma salaama

Assalaamu Alaikum,
this sounds like a beautiful idea, Alhamdulillah. I love the idea of organic clothes, good for the environment. I love handcrafted things and beautiful things and your clothes are so beautiful. I like the modern look of your clothes, it’s so hard to find modern modest clothes in stores. May Allah bless you for bringing incomes to our muslim sisters overseas.
I agree with some of the other Muslimas who are asking for some modest sporty clothes, I’d love a swimming costume so I can take up surfing, Insha’Allah.
All the best,
Wassalaam,
Hanan.

As-Salamu Alaykum and Masha’Allah for this wonderful idea and your seeking of suggestions from real women! Personally I would just like to see some more color
Nothing too crazy but to be frank I’m tired of the blacks, browns and dark blues, brighter colors would be a much welcomed change! Also definite attention to sizes, for some of us who don’t fit into the standard options given. Thank you for this, the opportunity to really tell you what we need!!!
February 15, 2007 at 6:24 pm
Assalaamu alaikum everything looks nice, Some large khimars would be a good idea as its very hard esp in UK to find a nice long scarf in plain colours taht goes over the bust and a little bit further while still reaching quite far down your back (if that makes sense lol)

Salaam,
